COVID COACHING UPDATE

20/08/2020

We have some exciting news... group coaching is back!!

Since the recent update from the LTA, we are able to run group coaching sessions outdoors. We have been very busy planning a safe return, which will include some different measures to what you may be used to, but will ensure that everyone involved can play safely.

Players must always follow the club's guidelines (FOUND HERE).

- If you, or anyone in your household, have symptoms, you must not visit the club.

- Players must wash their hands before and after play.

- Maintain physical distancing.

Some of the additional changes that we have put in place:

- There will be NO PAY & PLAY for junior players.

Knowing who is coming to our sessions is even more important than before. Previously, around 80% of our juniors paid for their sessions via direct debit. Moving forward, ALL JUNIORS WILL PAY VIA DIRECT DEBIT. If you already had a direct debit set up, your spaces are secure, I will be sending you another email over the coming days with more information. If you would like your child to play but have not set up a direct debit, please CLICK HERE , complete the form and we will get back to you.

- All adult sessions will be booked and paid for in advance

- Reduced break

We usually break for 2 weeks at the end of the summer holidays. This year, we have decided to push this later and reduce it to 1 week to avoid disruption to the shorter block of coaching. This year we will break from Monday 14th September - Sunday 20th September.

- Parents Spectating

We need to ensure that physical distancing is in place ofF court as well as on court. Please respect distancing rules. Where possible, please bring just one parent or guardian per player to avoid a busy viewing area.

- Equipment

Players will not be sharing rackets or other equipment other than the tennis balls. Guidance has been released from the LTA saying that sharing tennis balls is now ok as long as players wash their hands before and after play and avoid touching their face. We would encourage players to bring a glove for your non-hitting hand to handle tennis balls.

We would like to thank you all for your ongoing support, we have been inundated with nice messages from you all and we know how much you've missed playing tennis. We hope that you're as excited as we are to get back to coaching.

Keep your eyes peeled for more info over the next couple of days!

Take care,

Ashley Neaves
